3/24/07 0123hrs - MVA, Owego Turnpike & Dundaff St.  Area 61 Fell Twp.
Rescue 51, Cottage EMS and Station 61 fire were dispatched to the reports of a possible MVA with unknown injuries.  Upon the arrival of a R51 portable, a car was found off the road into a ditch with two victims outside the vehicle, one of whom fled the scene upon the arrival of the responders.  The other occupant refused treatment on scene.  E61-4 & 51-9 returned to service and R51 remained on scene to provide lighting while PSP invesigated.  During the course of the investigation PSP learned that the occupant that was still on scene was wanted on outstanding warrants.  When PSP troopers went to question the male they found that he had also apparently also fled the scene.  After a brief search of the area the male was found hiding UNDER Rescue 51 in the roadway.  He was promptly taken into custody by the troopers.  This just goes to show that we see something different everyday...
